Marketing and sales consulting for wine businesses ready to build stronger brands and sustainable growth.
My story
FROM THE WINERY …
My professional story began in Italy, in the heart of Tuscany, and grew from a passion for wine that over the years became a truly international professional experience.
After earning a degree in Law from the University of Pisa and an AIS Sommelier Diploma from the Italian Sommelier Association, I completed an MBA in Wine Business Marketing and Management at the University of Florence, in collaboration with the École Supérieure de Commerce de Bordeaux and the University of Melbourne.
My path in the wine world began with leading wine companies in the Chianti area, where I had the opportunity to work in sales, marketing, and export.
Those early years allowed me to understand wine not only from a commercial perspective, but above all to understand where it comes from.
I worked closely with renowned agronomists and winemakers, including Attilio Pagli, Stefano Chioccioli, Claudio Gori, and Andrea Paoletti, developing practical knowledge of viticulture and winemaking.
I learned about wine starting in the vineyard and cellar, then following it to the market, the customer, and the consumer.

… TO THE MARKET
This experience proved especially important in my later commercial work. I believe that to sell a wine effectively, it is necessary to understand its territory, production philosophy, product, and the people who created it.
At the same time, I developed significant experience managing tastings, events, winery visits, and public relations activities, working with clients, industry professionals, and the specialist press.
In 2009, I also had the opportunity to represent Toscana Promozione during Italian Wine Week in New York and Miami, handling promotion and public relations for the Tuscan producers taking part in the event.
THE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE
In 2008, I decided to move to the United States.
From that point on, my professional experience focused increasingly on the American market, working in sales for several wine importers and distributors in the New York metropolitan area.
It was a pivotal step in my career. I had the opportunity to see Italian wine no longer from the producer’s perspective, but through the eyes of the American market: importers, distributors, sales representatives, restaurateurs, sommeliers, buyers, and consumers.
I learned how the U.S. market works in practice, how commercial relationships are built, how a portfolio is selected, and above all, the challenges an Italian producer faces when seeking to build a presence in the United States.
In 2013, I became COO of a company specializing in the import and distribution of Italian wines.
This experience allowed me to combine the skills I developed in Italy with those acquired in the United States, working across sales, marketing, sales-force management, relationships with producers, importers and distributors, and commercial strategy development.
It was probably the moment when I understood the value of my experience most clearly: being able to understand both sides of a commercial relationship.
On one hand, I understand the needs and mindset of the Italian producer. On the other, I understand the dynamics and expectations of the American market.

TODAY
After more than 20 years in the wine industry, including over 15 years in the United States, I see this experience as the starting point for a new phase of my professional work.
Over the years, I have built cross-functional knowledge of the industry: from production to commercialization, from export to distribution, and from marketing to sales.
Above all, I have developed a deep understanding of the New York market, one of the most important and competitive markets for Italian wine in the United States.
This experience is the foundation of my interest in collaborating with Italian producers who want to develop or strengthen their presence in the United States.
I want to make my experience available as an operational link between the winery and the American market: understanding the producer’s goals, identifying opportunities, developing commercial relationships, creating new sales opportunities, and helping build a strong, lasting presence.
I believe the American market still offers enormous opportunities for Italian wine. But I also believe that success requires more than simply being present in the United States. It requires understanding the market, finding the right people, building relationships, and maintaining a consistent presence on the ground.
